This application calculates Take-off/Landing information (e.g. regulated take-off/landing mass, power settings and speeds)
based on the information and procedures as laid down in the approved (certified) Fokker 50 and Fokker 100 Airplane Flight Manual (AFM).
It substitutes the laborious job of reading AFM tables and graphs, which is not only an exhausting job, but also may introduce errors due to misreading of graphs, misinterpretation of the procedures to follow or by other mistakes.

Via a graphical user interface (GUI) the relevant input data on aircraft configuration and ambient conditions can easily be selected.
The runway data are obtained from an airport database so only airport and runway identifiers are needed.
The calculation of the performance parameters and the optimization of flap setting, V1, V2 and acceleration height are performed through the embedded Fokker SCAP module.
The Fokker SCAP module was delivered for the first time in 1989 to a customer and has been improved over the years.
It is widely used now by about 50 operators all over the world and we may say that the software has matured and is reliable.

The application on the iPad allows to create a very user friendly and intuitive user interface, both on the input and on the output. As a class 2 EFB it can be used during take-off and landing, the required performance information can be displayed on dedicated pages replacing the hand written Take-off Cards.

It also provides other relevant information like wind direction, wind limitations, runway length margins, obstacle clearance, etc to improve the awareness of the flight crew with respect to critical issues during the take-off and landing.

The GUI can be customized to fulfil the requirements of an individual operator.

DynamicSource AB develops advanced software for the aviation industry with main focus on EFB applications and web based intranet modules.
